Visionary Craftsmanship
Building towards a more beautiful world
Below you will find various projects of mine. I delight in creating fine forms and structures out of wood and whatever other materials suit my vision. If you have an interest in building something sacred and exquisite for your home, business, or retreat center, please get in touch with me.
Craniosacral Studio
This is my studio, where I practice Craniosacral in Ashland, Oregon. I believe a unique and beautiful environment is helpful in the healing process. The studio combines color, light, wood and fabric to naturally create a healing space.
The outside is made of coastal pine, white fir, and redwood, most of which is windfall that I milled myself. The roof is transparent and allows light to filter through the stained glass ceiling. Inside, the color and design of the stained glass ceiling delights the eyes. The walls are lined with wool and organic cotton fabric to add soft acoustics and aesthetics to the space.
It's my great joy to share this space with my clients.
Sound Healing Table
Constructed from redwood, eucalyptus, chinquapin, abalone and sound healing wizardry.
It’s low height inspired by Hugh Milne, one of my main teachers of Cranioascral Therapy, this table sits only 18” high. The table creates an element of ceremony as the client and practitioner enter a space closer to the earth, with greater perspective of the sky.
Redwood Cabin
This is my retreat from the world on the Mendocino coast, California. Made from redwood, chinqapin, wax murtle, pine, and cedar. Much of the wood is locally souced and milled. Close enough to the ocean to hear the sound of the surf rolling up through the big river canyon, yet far enough to be mostly out of the fog. As you may imagine, it’s quiet enough to hear the trees grow.
In Collaboration with Michael Lott
Lifting painted themes into new mediums and dimensions, I help to frame and expand Michael’s work. With the help of computer design, CNC wood carving, and old fashioned elbow grease, each frame is a stunning extension of the piece.
The frames are carved from solid, full dimension domestic hardwoods and inset with stained glass.

Garden Fence
More than just a boundary, this fence was designed to be a nature-inspired, semi-permeable membrane that enhances the garden inside and out.
Crafted from naturally felled old growth redwood, welded steel, and stained glass orbs, this fence keeps the deer out and the flowers blooming. As with everything I do, I strive to go beyond simple function. I create forms that enhance beauty, as well as being highly functional.
Greenhouse
Situated a mile from the Pacific Ocean in the Northwest, this greenhouse provides heat loving plants with the environment they need to thrive —even in August when its socked in with coastal fog. With 10 sides and 20 independent vents to control airflow, this greenhouse is a haven for tomatoes, peppers, citrus and other warm climate loving crops.
Shipping Container Studio
With a perfect view of Mt. McLoughlin, this shipping container studio is situated up above Howard Prairie Lake outside of Ashland, OR. With bamboo floors and cedar accents, this little studio makes for a perfect getaway for enhanced concentration.
Pond Deck/Dock
Cantilevered out over the pond, this dock/deck is counter-balenced so it levitates out over the water. It’s a heavenly place to have lunch, feed the koi, and watch the dragonflies buzz the air.
Redwood Burl Table
A slab from Santa Cruz and a root ball from a beach in Northern California combine to form an organically beautiful table.
It’s always my delight to work with the finest woods. This Redwood burl slab is no exception. Perfectly aged for 30 years, with intricate and varied grain patterns, this slab is one of the finest. Plus it has that sweet smell that only old growth redwood effuses when cut. The base washed up on a beach in Fort Bragg, CA some 30 years ago and sat weathering in the sun until at last it found its perfect match.
Garden Trellis
When neighborhood houses are just too close together, this arching trellis design provides both connection and privacy between neighbors.
Made from cedar and spanning a total of 300 feet, the trellis boarders two property lines. The high arch allows for shrubs to be planted underneath and flowering or fruiting vines such as roses or grapes to grow on top. It’s a wonderful way to accommodate a neighborly need for privacy, view enhancement, and shared space.
Hand Turned Bowls
Featuring materials as diverse as ebony, seal bone, turquoise and fossils, these little vessels are delightful holders of special keepsakes.
So long as the tools are sharp and your hand skilled, one can turn almost anything on a lathe. It’s my delight to find small and special materials to craft into these little vessels.
Screen Doors
What’s better than a warm summer breeze cruising through your home? Or a cool nights refreshing air cleansing the home of midsummer heat? These screen doors are a natural way to achieve this in a way that matches and beatifies the home.
